| Mon - 3/6/2006 |
not too bad today. found breakfast and snacks
made me hungry. not used to eating on a schedule. drank 10 20oz water
bottles. I read in a forum that water intake is important for flushing out
the system. |
| Tue - 3/7/2006 |
fine today. lunch was a bit late, so my
afternoon snack was also. drank 6 20 oz water bottles. morning exercise
seems to energize me a bit, though adding breakfast and exercise to my
morning routine makes time a bit short. |
| Wed - 3/8/2006 |
good today, other than missing my snacks due
to the day's schedule. I was home shoveling my roof and went to lunch late.
starting to notice a bit of room in the waistband of my jeans. |
| Thu - 3/9/2006 |
back hurt today - probably from shoveling
yesterday. also put in a 13 hour workday. took a lighter day on the
treadmill. people are starting to notice the shrinking stomach. |
| Fri - 3/10/2006 |
sped up the treadmill a little this morning.
didn't have time for breakfast at home today. ate a Hardee's "low-carb
breakfast bowl" instead. also missed my morning snack due to customer
appointments. salad was awesome today - love fresh spinach leaves! |

goal today was to hit 1 mile on the treadmill
in under 20 minutes. made the goal in 18! tore carpet out of living room
today after packing up pictures and knick knacks. lots of furniture moving
as well. also did another 15 minutes on the treadmill tonight. |

end of first week today. something is obviously working.
lost 10 pounds and 1.25 inches off my stomach and .25 inches off my waist so
far. don't know if it's the diet, the increased exercise or a combination.
regardless, we won't mess with success! |

ran out of time this morning and sore, so I didn't hit the
treadmill. made up for it tonight by slowing down for a longer time. i did
30 minutes with a bit over 1 mile. |
| Tue - 3/14/2006 |
still doing well. time is still a problem in the morning -
between fixing and eating breakfast, fixing lunch and snacks for work,
treadmill time and getting kids ready for school, pretty much kills my
morning. I plan to fix lunch and snacks the night before and get up a bit
earlier tomorrow. Hopefully, that will make me less "rushed" in the morning.
I stepped on the scale this morning to see if I was still hovering around
the 189 mark, sliding up or sliding down. Thankfully, the direction was down
- I lost another 2 pounds since Sunday night. |

really good morning. noticeable change in energy level/mood.
I increased speed on my treadmill this morning, doing .92 miles in 15
minutes. I'm also getting comments on noticeable weight loss from those who
are not known for noticing things. |

Legs hurt today - I mean really hurt and I mean all
day. Probably won't use treadmill tonight - or at least at a very slow pace.
My wife is asking if I am getting too much cheese in my diet as well. May
have to go a couple days without - or at least make sure it's low fat
variety. Did the treadmill - decided I didn't want to skip. Slowly and for
only 10 minutes, but... |

Off work today. Ran around with appointments and a Duluth
trip. Probably ate more than I should have at supper. Didn't get home until
after 10pm, so additional exercise is out of the question. |

Painting living room today. Noticing food tasting
differently (better). Due to painting activity, I didn't use treadmill in
the evening. |

3 more coats in the living room today - red paint sucks!
Family wants me to move on to phase II tomorrow. Guess I'll be reintroducing
some carbs - slowly... I also got a regular cloth measuring tape (instead of
using a phone cord and a tape measure) |
