Without Educating Yourself - Get The Books There are two books you will want to get before starting
this diet.

first is The South Beach Diet™ book. It is packed with
information regarding the author, the genesis of the diet, the
reasons behind the diet and a very good explanation of how to
work the diet. It's available most anywhere, Wal-Mart, K-Mart,
Amazon, etc. You will want to read this one cover to cover
before you start the plan.

| The South Beach Diet™ is
not a traditional low-carb plan. Instead, you'll be encouraged
to choose the right carbs, such as whole grains and certain
fruits and vegetables; the right fats, such as olive and
canola oil; and lean sources of protein. The second book, the
Good Fats, Good Carbs Guide will help you in determining what
you can eat during each phase of the diet. It is also readily
available. This book will be your reference book. Keep it
handy as you move through your journey.

| There are numerous other books on
the market as well as a full
website. I have only read these two and cannot speak for
the value of the others. I know I was happy with both of these
and highly recommend you purchase them before you get started.
